Brand: Delirious Eyewear (Italy / Japan)
Timeline: 2025
Background
When I joined, the site’s Lighthouse performance score was around 55-60, with slow banners, blocking scripts, and weak technical SEO setup. My goal was to raise web performance, Core Web Vitals, and discoverability for both the main site and the newly developed Lifestyle Journal blog.
Actions Taken
Performance optimization
- Compressed and converted all large homepage and hero images into modern formats (WebP).
- Implemented lazy-loading for non-critical visuals.
- Removed unused legacy scripts and CSS.
- Minified and deferred JavaScript and CSS to reduce render-blocking.
- Optimized Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) and stabilized Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS).
- Enabled caching/CDN delivery for global performance.
SEO implementation
- Added structured data (JSON-LD) across product and blog templates for rich snippets.
- Automated sitemap updates and improved canonical tagging.
- Integrated Google Merchant Center product feed for optimized product visibility.
- Created the Delirious Lifestyle blog in Next.js, connected to Shopify GraphQL, and implemented internal linking and dynamic meta fields to strengthen topical SEO.
